Vegetable Oil Market

Linseed, Sesame and Sunfl ower move up

Mixed trends prevailed in the market during the past week
under review. Linseed oil gained over 3%, while Sesame
and Sunfl ower oils moved up by around 2%. Groundnut,
Rapeseed, Cottonseed and Castor oils remained steady.
Among imported oils, RBD palmolein and crude Palm gained
marginally, while crude degummed Soyabean remained
fi rm. In solvent extracted oils, Soyabean was up by 0.61%,
while Rice brans went down by over 2%. Comparing the
prices of some of the oils over the same period last year,
groundnut is cheaper by a percent and sunfl ower is down by
27%. Rapeseed is down by 26% and linseed is cheaper by 25%.
Sesame is cheaper by 2%. Castor is cheaper by 17%, while
cottonseed is cheaper by 29%.
