Ohmium International, a US-based provider of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydrogen technology and Ahmedabad-based renewable energy EPC company, InSolare Energy, have announced a collaboration to deliver a 4-MW green hydrogen project for NLC India Ltd at Neyveli, Tamil Nadu.
The plant is estimated to produce up to 700 metric tons of hydrogen per year, with applications spanning power generation, industrial use, and mobility.
Ohmium contributes PEM electrolyser technology and India-based manufacturing to the project. “Ohmium’s PEM technology and India-based manufacturing align with our vision for local green hydrogen production. Their highly efficient and modular solution combined with an ongoing commitment to R&D, rigorous testing, and continuous development sets them apart,” said Dr. Hemanshu Bhatt, COO and co-Founder, InSolare Energy.
InSolare brings EPC execution and experience in utility-scale solar, hybrid systems, and green hydrogen technologies. “InSolare’s proven EPC track record and expertise across utility-scale solar, hybrid systems, and green hydrogen technologies are strong complements to our PEM electrolyser technology. Together, we will deliver an integrated green hydrogen solution for NLC Ltd that will accelerate India’s energy transition,” said Dr. Markus Tacke, CEO, Ohmium International.
Ohmium has a global green hydrogen project pipeline exceeding 2-GW across three continents. InSolare has an EPC portfolio of 1.5-GW+ across India.
