Noida-based Nuberg EPC has secured an order from Msufini Tanzania Ltd. for a 45-tonne-per-day chlor-alkali plant in the Mlandizi District, Coast Region, Tanzania, with commissioning targeted for January 2027.
The contract covers end-to-end turnkey execution — review, design, procurement, installation, construction, and commissioning. The plant will produce chlorine and caustic soda as primary outputs, with co-products including hydrogen, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, liquid chlorine, caustic soda lye, and caustic flakes, serving end-use sectors including water treatment, pharmaceuticals, textiles, paper and pulp, and plastics.
Mr. A.K. Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, Nuberg Group of Industries, said, “Africa continues to offer compelling opportunities for industrial and chemical sector expansion, and our partnership with Msufini reflects a shared vision of developing resilient and future-ready industrial infrastructure”.
The Tanzania order adds to Nuberg EPC’s portfolio of over 25 chlor-alkali plants across more than 35 countries. The company has previously executed projects in other African nations like Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Morocco, and Egypt.
