LMR Naturals by IFF, the France-based natural perfumery ingredients specialist owned by American fragrances and flavours firm, has inaugurated a new 1.8-hectare experimental field near Grasse, France, dedicated to research in natural ingredients, preservation of the region’s agricultural heritage, and education in naturals. The site, named Domaine des Naturels LMR, was acquired by IFF in 2025 and was previously owned by farmer Constant Viale.
Seamless approach from seed to fragrance
Located near LMR’s Grasse headquarters and its creation site, L’Atelier du Parfumeur, the field will operate as an integrated R&D platform and maintain a collection of endemic species including rose, jasmine, tuberose, iris, narcissus, and olive trees. A multidisciplinary team of more than 10 botanical experts will support work spanning agronomy, extraction, and perfumery. The experimental field will allow local teams to explore plant varieties, refine cultivation techniques and assess bio-based inputs under real-world conditions.

The site will also host the LMR Naturals Academy, offering training programmes and hands-on experiences for customers, partners, and perfumers.
