K. Natarajan takes over as MD of Galaxy Surfactants

Mr. K. Natarajan has taken over as the Managing Director of Galaxy Surfactants Ltd, a leading manufacturer of surfactants and specialty care ingredients.

Mr. Natarajan, who was the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the company, took over as MD from Mr. U. Shekhar, the founder of the company, who superannuated on February 18. Mr. Shekhar will continue as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr. Natarajan holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce from University of Mumbai and is a qualified Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. Since joining Galaxy in April 1993, he has headed diverse functions in Galaxy including Finance, IT, Business Creation, Business Commercial, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain. As MD, Mr. K. Natarajan will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s business and operations.

With Mr. Natarajan’s elevation, Mr. Vaijanath Kulkarni has been appointed as Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of the company. Mr. Abhijit Damle has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer.
