Evonik adds analytics capabilities at Thane research hub

The Indian arm of German speciality chemicals major Evonik, has inaugurated a new Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) Analytics Laboratory at its Evonik India Research Hub (EIRH) in Thane, Maharashtra.

Evonik had opened the office and R&D premises in Thane about two years ago. The EIRH is a crucial hub for developing new products and technologies catering to the needs of the Indian market and creating products tailored to Indian customers’ specific requirements.

The company said the new analytics facility marks a major step forward in strengthening its analytical, scientific, and innovation capabilities.

“Equipped with advanced chromatography systems, high precision spectroscopy platforms, and thermal characterisation tools, the lab provides our teams with deeper material insights and robust analytical accuracy. With integrated data driven workflows, the new lab enhances decision making speed and strengthens the analytical backbone supporting our R&D and business teams. These enhanced capabilities will help our businesses deliver higher quality analytics, faster development cycles, and improved product performance,” said a social media post by the company.
