Azelis, the Belgium-based distributor of speciality chemicals and food ingredients, has announced a new distribution partnership with French diary giant Lactalis for the pharmaceuticals & healthcare market in India.
Azelis will now distribute Lactalis Ingredients Pharma’s Lactalpha a range of milled and sieved lactose monohydrate across India, further strengthening its portfolio for oral solid dosage formulations.
The Lactalpha range includes milled and sieved low-nitrite lactose suitable for wet and dry granulation, as well as dry-blending production. It is suitable for oral solid dosage forms such as tablets, sachets, and capsules and is compliant with Ph. Eur., USP-NF, and JP standards.
“India is an important market for Lactalis’s pharmaceutical lactose business, and we were looking for a partner with strong local market knowledge, technical capabilities, and established customer relationships in the pharmaceutical sector.
