Aarti Pharmalabs, Mumbai-based pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturer offering CDMO/CMO services for small-molecule drug substances, has inaugurated an additional manufacturing block at its Tarapur MIDC site in Maharashtra, having secured all requisite permissions and approvals to commence operations.
The new block adds 3,600-tpa of xanthine derivatives capacity, taking the company's total capacity to 9,600-tpa and placing it among the top three xanthine derivatives manufacturers globally.
Xanthine and its derivatives are considered a pharmacologically potential moiety that manifests immense biological activities.
"This is a significant milestone which represents a big leap forward for our company, expanding our production capabilities and strengthening our ability to serve our business partners. Trial production has been initiated, and the facility will be ramped up for optimum utilisation in the next few quarters," said Mr. Rashesh Gogri, Chairman, Aarti Pharmalabs.
Aarti Pharmalabs offers dedicated facilities for HPAPIs, corticosteroids, cytotoxic and oncology products, alongside generic APIs and intermediates.
